Our sources

This guide describes books it has no connection to. So every outbound link here goes to a record we opened and read: the publisher's own page for a book, or the original study for a research claim. Retailer listings, summary sites and quote aggregators are not sources and are not linked.

Sources cited on this site

21 records, each one checked as at 2026-09-14. A page that would not load for us is not linked at all: we name the book in text instead, and say why the link is missing.

Numbers

We only publish figures we can trace to a primary source: the original study, official statistics, or the organisation's own reporting. Secondary retellings, influencer polls and unattributed "studies show" claims are rejected at the fact-gate. Sales figures, print-run claims, star ratings and review counts are refused outright — the people selling a book are the ones reporting them.

No statistics are published on this site, so this list is empty and should be. Where a number would normally sit, our pages describe what a study found and link the study.

What we rejected, and why

This list matters as much as the one above. These are figures that circulate widely in writing about relationship books and that we could not trace to a primary source, so they do not appear anywhere on this site.

Nothing has been rejected yet. When a widely-repeated figure fails verification, it gets named here so it never creeps back in.

The rules

  1. Named source in the same sentence as the number, with the year.
  2. Primary source only — we link the origin, not an article about it.
  3. A link is published only after the page behind it has been opened and confirmed to be the work we say it is. Every link in the list above carries the date that check was made.
  4. No retailer links, no affiliate arrangements, no prices — a publisher page is cited to confirm a record, never to route a reader to a purchase.
  5. Unverifiable → unpublished. No exceptions.

Independence

Linking a publisher is not a relationship with one. Relationship Books Guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, licensed by or connected to any author, publisher, training organisation or estate named on this site, and holds no certification in any method it describes. We read these books as outside readers, and we do not reproduce their questionnaires, exercises or passages.
